"There are Empire engines that were made for the United Kingdom under the "Hotpoint Electric Appliance Ltd" label. They made the Empire models B-30, B-31, B-35, B-38, and the B-42, with 220 - 240 volt AC heating elements. They were probably made for the market in the late 1930's and up to the start of World War II."
